Our Story
New Friends Reunion began with friendships formed in Sanghar during teenage, school and college years.
The beginning
Early Friendships
The community grew from friends who studied, lived and spent time together in Sanghar. The circle was broader than cricket and included school, college, neighbourhood and shared-activity friendships.
Shared heritage
New Friends Cricket Club
New Friends Cricket Club emerged from this friendship circle. It is an important part of the group's shared history, but not every friend was a player or club member.
The club no longer operates. NFR preserves it as historical heritage rather than presenting it as a current sports organisation.
Across the years
Life Moved On
As friends moved through education, work, family life and different cities, regular contact changed. Some remained connected; others gradually lost contact with the group.
Everyday connection
Staying Connected
WhatsApp now supports immediate and informal communication among friends who are connected. It is useful for conversation, but it is not designed to be a permanent community archive.
Today
New Friends Reunion
NFR is the present-day platform for reconnecting old friends, helping locate friends with whom contact has been lost, preserving photographs and memories, supporting reunions and maintaining an enduring record of the community.
